Financial and Accounting:

If you have been examining Supply Chain Management with Inventory Management, Storage techniques, Procurement and Logistics, then SAP Materials Management(MM) would be apt. If your majors are in Marketing, Sales Management, Distribution techniques, Channel Management, then SAP Sales & Distribution (SD) module should ideally be your preference. If you have an Engineering background, then SAP Production Planning (PP) and SAP Plant Maintenance (SAP PM). If you have been studying Chemical Engineering, Pharmacy, Statistics, Total Quality Management, then SAP Quality Management (SAP QM) will suffice your career.

If you are working in Logistics and Supply chain and involves procurement, order processing, production, storage, inventory management, shipping, and sales. , Better go with SAP LO, LE. If you are working in Industries where your are monitoring its safety and Health, then SAP-EHS – Environment, Health & Safety. If you are dealing with Vendor relationship and Procurement, then SAP-CS – Customer Service or SAP-SRM – Supplier Relationship Management. If you are from Plant Production Management, then SAP-PLM.

Supply Chain Management:

If you dealing with optimization and controls Production Planning, business forecasting and demand planning in Logistics or Any Logistics based other company, then SAP SCM/ SAP APO.

If you have been studying Organizational Management, Comparative Management, Human Resource and Personnel Management, then SAP Human Capital Management module will be your option.

If you have been studying or Having working Experience in a Database like Oracle, MS SQL, Hadoop etc.; Computer programming like Java etc.; and Network Administration have been your interests, then NetWeaver, SAP BASIS, SAP ABAP should be your first preference.

Final Words:

In the current Market, there is a great demand for SAP consultants who have the good domain experience. If you are a fresher, need to have relevant domain experience to become a functional consultant and also to secure better opportunities in the market. Choose accordingly to your interest and get trained in that module. SAP Certification is good to have but mandatory.

Unfortunately, SAP Jobs for freshers are very low and Companies in the cities like Bangalore and Pune are hiring freshers into SAP Technology comparatively with Hyderabad, Chennai, Delhi, Haryana, Kolkatta, Mumbai.

There is good demand in Bangalore and Pune for Freshers into SAP for modules like ABAP, BASIS, FICO, MM and  Technology like JAVA( for application integration in SAP).
